2023 Summary

The year 2023 was for our Domidar Dogs kennel a year that carried perhaps every emotion we can imagine. It was a year of joy from successes, pride in our dogs and our breeding, beautiful meetings with friends, but also a year of farewell. Above all, it was a year in which we once again realized how extraordinary it is to share life with this wonderful breed. We value the results we achieved even more because, due to our demanding workload, we were not able to devote as much time and attention to our dogs as we would have wished—and as they truly deserve.

A major chapter of the year was the third edition of STAFFBULL CAMP, which once again became a true celebration of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The invitations to judge were accepted by respected breeders and judges Alissa Justine Weber Bech from the Danish kennel Angelic Staff and Cvetka Kurent Šerjak from the Slovenian kennel T.N.T. Edition. Their highly professional work in the ring, where they devoted careful attention to every single dog, was of great benefit to all participants, as was the subsequent discussion about the breed.

In addition to conformation judging, sports enthusiasts could also enjoy competing with their dogs in Obedience and Rally Obedience under the guidance of Vilemínа Kracíková and Simona Hušková. The event also included expert lectures, show handling training, obedience training, and a program for children. The atmosphere of the entire weekend was exceptional, and the feedback from participants brings us great joy and also a commitment to continue this tradition.

We were also very pleased by the strong interest in our autumn educational seminar dedicated to the breed standard, health, nutrition, and show preparation. Its benefits were subsequently reflected in the show rings as well.

However, 2023 will forever be associated for us with a painful loss. At the age of fifteen, our very first Staffordshire Bull Terrier, InterCh., MultiCh., GrandCh., WorkingCh. GLOCK Stawka Wieksza niż Życie, passed away. He was the dog who laid the foundations of the Domidar Dogs kennel—a dog with an enormous heart, incredible drive, and unforgettable charisma. He won the TOP STAFF title twice, became a Working Champion, achieved the title VICE WORLD WINNER 2011, and collected countless victories across Europe, both in the show ring and in sporting competitions. He was our teacher and will remain so forever. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank his breeders Alicja and Andrzej Mielus for allowing us the honor of sharing our lives with him.

A great hope for the future are the puppies born this year. From the combination of UK Ch. Gazstaff’s MAN IN BLACK for ANTONIOSTAFF JW and our PRETTY ANGRY Domidar Dogs, our friends Jana and Pavel Belej welcomed exceptionally promising puppies TACTICAL WEAPON Domidar Dogs and TROUBLE MAKER Domidar Dogs. TACTICAL WEAPON Domidar Dogs quickly made her presence known when she received Very Promising 1 and the title BEST PUPPY BITCH in the puppy class at the SBTC CZ Special Show. This result—especially under the judgment of respected breed specialists from the United Kingdom—brought us enormous joy and confirmed the quality of this combination. She has also been very positively evaluated at subsequent shows, and we will follow her future with great expectations.

Equally important to us were the litters born directly in our kennel. The “U” litter, from PARIS II z Hambalek Bušín and Grining Devils DOMIDAR GO BALLISTIC, brought five females who enjoy excellent health and wonderful temperaments. Our sincere thanks go to Klára Zbořilová for allowing us to use her dog Barney in our breeding program. The “V” litter, from Waywardstaff TWEED HARRIS and MAMMA MIA Domidar Dogs, brought seven puppies, two of whom—VIKING OF Domidar Dogs and VENOM OF Domidar Dogs—remain in close contact with us, allowing us to follow their further development.

An exceptional chapter of the year belonged to QUEST FOR FAME Domidar Dogs, whose working results were truly outstanding. She earned the title WORKING CHAMPION OF SBTC CZ and became TOP WORKING FEMALE SBT 2023. She won the Czech Staffordshire Bull Terrier Obedience Championship, became ABSOLUTE WINNER of STAFFBULL CAMP 2023, and also triumphed in several other prestigious competitions, including Rally Terezín and the Obedience Outdoor Cup. Behind these achievements stands the tremendous work of her owner Míša Plívová, who deserves our deep respect and sincere thanks.

The show season also brought many beautiful moments that we will remember for a long time. One of the strongest was the April weekend and our golden “HATTRICK” in České Budějovice. PROUD TO BE Domidar Dogs won BEST OF BREED and later BEST IN GROUP, an achievement we value immensely. Waywardstaff TWEED HARRIS, at the very beginning of his show career, literally shone there. In very strong competition in the junior class he won BEST OF JUNIOR, then BEST OF GROUP, and ultimately became BEST JUNIOR OF THE DAY among all exhibited breeds. SWEET REVENGE Domidar Dogs also won the minor puppy class, launching what would become a very successful show career.

Waywardstaff TWEED HARRIS delighted us throughout the entire year. He achieved the title Junior Champion of the Czech Republic, began his journey toward the title Czech Champion, and repeatedly earned the highest awards in his class, including CAJC, CACIB-J, and CAC. We also highly value his placement in the SBTC CZ annual rankings, where as a junior he achieved a beautiful 4th place in strong competition. PROUD TO BE Domidar Dogs also ranked among the best, finishing in 6th place.

We were also very pleased with SWEET REVENGE Domidar Dogs, who matured during the year into a remarkable young female and earned the title Junior Champion of the Czech Republic, accompanied by numerous junior-class victories including CAJC and CACIB-J titles.

We were immensely proud of our veterans as well. Our beloved grandmother MAYA Stawka Wieksza niż Życie won BEST OF VETERAN at the prestigious SBTC CZ Club Show and subsequently achieved a wonderful 3rd place in the final competition – VETERAN BEST IN SHOW. GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs also earned BEST OF VETERAN, once again confirming his quality even in retirement.

Another significant success was the title Czech Champion for MAD MAX Domidar Dogs, who thus joined the many champions bred by our kennel.

Great joy also came from the overall annual results of our kennel. In the SBTC CZ club competition, with 291.5 points, we achieved a fantastic 4th place among more than eighty evaluated kennels. This result is a tremendous reward for us and, above all, strong motivation for our future work.

The international representation of our kennel also achieved an outstanding success in 2023, thanks to the female RESIDENT EVIL Domidar Dogs, who lives in Slovakia. In the prestigious TOP STAFF Slovakia 2023 ranking, she became the most successful female and also obtained the title BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX, which represents an exceptional recognition of her quality. With this achievement, RESIDENT EVIL Domidar Dogs joined the ranks of other successful dogs bred in our kennel and became only the second dog bred abroad to win the TOP STAFF title, after TOP STAFF PL – EXTRA’S LEGACY Domidar Dogs.

RESIDENT EVIL Domidar Dogs also holds numerous prestigious championships and titles, including Slovak Champion, multiple Junior Champion titles, the international title C.I.B. Junior, as well as JUNIOR WINNER OF SERBIA and VICTORY JUNIOR WINNER OF SLOVAKIA. These successes are not only the result of her exceptional qualities but also of the dedicated and professional care she receives, for which we sincerely thank Ivanka and Miriam Ravasová.

We greatly value the fact that our dogs were repeatedly highly appreciated—even by some of the most respected judges and breed specialists from the United Kingdom. For us, this is confirmation that our breeding work truly has meaning.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank all judges for their high appreciation of our dogs. We thank the show organizers for their work, our friends for the time spent together, their support and friendship, which are indispensable to us. And above all, we thank the owners of our bred dogs. Without your care, love, and dedication, these successes would not have been possible.
