2022 Summary
The year 2022 will be remembered in the history of Domidar Dogs as a year that was not defined by the number of shows attended, but rather by the strength of the moments that truly matter to breeders. It was a year of siblings, a year of a new generation, and also a year that reminded many of moments that are never forgotten at Domidar Dogs.
Already the first months suggested that the siblings PROUD TO BE Domidar Dogs and PRETTY ANGRY Domidar Dogs were entering the show rings with great confidence. PRETTY ANGRY Domidar Dogs gradually collected several victories in the junior class and the title BEST OF JUNIOR, while PROUD TO BE Domidar Dogs attracted attention not only with excellent critiques but especially with a performance that matured and strengthened with each show. Their shared journey naturally continued in the following classes, where both began collecting CAC titles and gradually established themselves among the most prominent young dogs of the season.
Alongside them, our steady pillar remained LIKE A MONSTER Domidar Dogs, a dog who has long confirmed his quality in the champion class. During the year he managed to obtain not only CACIB, but also one of the highest awards – the title BEST OF BREED. MAD MAX Domidar Dogs also maintained a strong position, repeatedly succeeding in the open class, and a very pleasant moment was the debut of the young PULL ME BACK Domidar Dogs, who earned his first CAC, indicating promising potential for the future.
One of the strongest moments of the entire season occurred at the TRIOCACIB International Dog Show in Prague, which brought a situation that simply cannot be planned. For two consecutive days, the competition for the CACIB title consisted exclusively of dogs from Domidar Dogs. PROUD TO BE Domidar Dogs, LIKE A MONSTER Domidar Dogs, and MAD MAX Domidar Dogs stood together in the ring as it was decided which of them would reach the top that day. For an unbiased spectator, it was an extraordinary moment. For those who have followed Domidar Dogs for many years, it was a reminder—of times when similar moments unfolded between names such as GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs, HOLD ME BACK Domidar Dogs, FRONT RUNNER Domidar Dogs, or later FOREVER FIRST Domidar Dogs. Moments when the question was not whether Domidar Dogs would succeed, but simply which one of them would.
However, 2022 was not only about the show rings. At Domidar Dogs, two very promising litters were also born. The “R” litter, from the combination of LIKE A MONSTER Domidar Dogs and Grinning Devils DOMIDAR GO BALLISTIC, brought seven puppies, and the “S” litter, from the combination of PROUD TO BE Domidar Dogs and MAMMA MIA Domidar Dogs, added three more. It is within these litters that the story of future generations continues.
A very important part of the year was also the third edition of STAFFBULL CAMP, which we once again organized in the beautiful surroundings of the Bohemian Paradise. This event has already earned a firm place and the respect of its participants. Once again we succeeded in securing the participation of two highly experienced and respected judges – Paul Martin from the Loyalstaff kennel and Robert Jenkins from the Slatady kennel, both from Northern Ireland. The sporting program was led by Lukas Krupka, a long-time and respected competitor in bull sports.
The entire event was very positively evaluated not only by the judges themselves but especially by the participants, thanks to its professional organization and a diverse program including two shows, a sporting afternoon, a children’s academy, expert lectures, and space for social gathering among people united by their love of the breed.
In autumn we once again organized a breed-focused show seminar, which again met with great interest. The very positive feedback and the subsequent show successes of the participants confirmed that sharing experience and supporting new SBT owners has deep meaning.
When the final annual rankings of the SBTC CZ club competitions were announced at the end of the year, the Domidar Dogs kennel achieved 2nd place in the competition for the most successful show kennel, scoring 401 points among more than eighty participating kennels. This result was mainly achieved thanks to PROUD TO BE Domidar Dogs, PRETTY ANGRY Domidar Dogs, PULL ME BACK Domidar Dogs, LIKE A MONSTER Domidar Dogs, and MAD MAX Domidar Dogs, as well as their owners who presented them with love and dedication.
Our great thanks therefore go to them—Eliška Pechátová, Jana and Pavel Belej, Saša Vatlak, and many others who are an integral part of the Domidar Dogs family.
Our sincere thanks also go to all the judges for their high appreciation of the quality of our dogs, to all show organizers, and to all friends, colleagues, and the entire large family of cynology enthusiasts with whom we shared this year in the show rings.
