2020 Summary
The 2020 show season will be remembered in the history of the Domidar Dogs kennel as a year of great success, strong emotions, and above all a year that fully confirmed the quality of our long-term breeding work. Despite the complicated situation in the world of cynology, we had the opportunity to present our dogs at a number of prestigious shows and achieve results of which we are rightfully proud.
The very beginning of the year at the International DUOCACIB Brno show already indicated what an exceptional season awaited us. Our legendary veteran MAYA Stawka Wieksza niż Życie received Excellent 1 and BEST OF VETERAN (BOV) on both days, once again confirming her extraordinary quality, type, and condition, which she maintains even at an advanced age. KEEP UP WITH Domidar Dogs fulfilled the requirements for the title Czech Champion, KALASHNIKOV Domidar Dogs obtained CAC, CACIB, and qualification for Crufts, and the bitch IRON FIST Domidar Dogs completed her journey toward the title Czech Champion. We were also very pleased by the excellent results of GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs, who has long ranked among the finest representatives of our breeding program.
The SBTC CZ Club Show in Poděbrady brought further strong moments when GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs won BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX, and KEEP UP WITH Domidar Dogs obtained the title Club Winner. Our young dogs also presented themselves excellently, including the promising LIKE A MONSTER Domidar Dogs, who won BEST PUPPY DOG.
One of the most powerful moments of the entire season came at the National Dog Show in Mladá Boleslav, where our exceptional MAYA Stawka Wieksza niż Życie achieved a triumph that will forever remain written in the history of our breeding. At the age of nine, she not only won BEST OF VETERAN (BOV) but also the highest possible award, BEST OF BREED (BOB) – the title for the best dog of the breed across all classes. This result is absolutely extraordinary and confirms not only her exceptional conformation, but above all her strong health, vitality, and breed type that have accompanied her throughout her life. For this extraordinary bitch we are endlessly grateful to our friends Alicja and Andrzej Mielus from Poland!
At the Floracanis National Dog Show in Olomouc, MAYA added another historic success by winning not only BEST OF VETERAN, but also the title BEST VETERAN IN SHOW (VBIS) – the best veteran of the entire show across all breeds.
Excellent results were also achieved by many of our other dogs. HOLD ME BACK Domidar Dogs won CAC, National Winner, and BEST OF BREED at the National Dog Show in Ostrava. KEEP UP WITH Domidar Dogs triumphed at the International Dog Show in České Budějovice with CAC, CACIB, and BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX. KALASHNIKOV Domidar Dogs, GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs, KISS OF DEATH Domidar Dogs, and other members of our breeding program consistently confirmed the high standard of our kennel.
The year 2020 was also significant from a breeding perspective. The “M” and “N” litters were born, as well as the exceptionally promising “L” litter from the combination of IRON FIST Domidar Dogs and UK Ch. Northstaff Notorious, from which we expect a great deal for the future. We would like to sincerely thank Kelly Wilson for the opportunity to make this combination possible.
We were also very pleased by the international success of the offspring of our MultiCh. BRENO Domidar Dogs. His daughter Ch. Raminartus TAL'S HEIDI JM (CGC GOLD) achieved remarkable lifetime accomplishments in 2019: TOP STAFFORD OPPOSITE SEX 2019 (from an incredible 636 bitches), TOP CHAMPION OPPOSITE SEX 2019, TOP OPEN 2019, and TOP JUNIOR 2019. Thanks in part to the achievements of this bitch, our MultiCh. BRENO Domidar Dogs became the second most successful stud dog in South Africa in 2019. We are extremely proud that this fantastic dog has successfully proven himself on three continents. We thank Francisco Bautista for his care of BRENO and congratulate the owners of TAL'S HEIDI on their fantastic results.
The absolute highlight of the entire season was the prestigious TOP STAFF 2020 competition organized by the SBTC CZ club.
Our dog KEEP UP WITH Domidar Dogs became TOP STAFF 2020 among males. However, a result that can truly be described as historic and absolutely exceptional was achieved by our beloved MAYA Stawka Wieksza niż Życie. This extraordinary bitch won the title TOP STAFF 2020 among females, at the incredible age of nine years, competing as a veteran.
This success is in many ways unimaginable and unique. It is proof not only of her exceptional quality, but above all of the strength of the genetic legacy she carries and passes on. Her sons GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs and HOLD ME BACK Domidar Dogs repeatedly won the TOP STAFF title in previous years, clearly confirming the exceptional value of this line – a combination of outstanding conformation, strong health, balanced temperament, and longevity.
Our kennel also achieved great success overall, as Domidar Dogs once again became the most successful show kennel of the 2020 season, with a significant lead and a total of 367.5 points. In addition, four of our dogs placed among the Top 10 dogs in the TOP STAFF competition – KEEP UP WITH Domidar Dogs, HOLD ME BACK Domidar Dogs, KALASHNIKOV Domidar Dogs, and GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs.
These results represent a tremendous honor for us and confirm that our breeding philosophy truly has meaning.
In conclusion, we would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all the judges who evaluated our dogs throughout the year and appreciated their qualities with such prestigious awards. Your recognition means a great deal to us.
Our enormous thanks also go to the owners and handlers of our dogs – Gabriela Plešková and Miloslav Volenc, Katka Horáčková, Janka Zálišová, Martin Záliš, Dominik Záliš, Darinka Zálišová, Markéta Regnerová, David Šváb, Saša Vatlak, the Veverka family, Francisco Bautista, and many others – for their love, care, presentation, and dedication to our dogs. Without you, these successes would not have been possible.
