2019 Summary
The year 2019 was a year that the Domidar Dogs kennel will remember for a very long time and with immense pride. It was a year full of emotions, great victories, unforgettable moments both in and outside the show ring, but above all a year that once again confirmed that our many years of work, vision, and love for the breed are moving in the right direction.
We began the show season in Brno, and from the very first shows it was clear that our dogs were in excellent condition. More successes from national and international shows gradually followed, whether it was beautiful placements of our young prospects or the consistent and dominant performances of our experienced champions. Very soon, a trio of siblings began to attract significant attention – KEEP UP WITH Domidar Dogs, KISS OF DEATH Domidar Dogs, and KALASHNIKOV Domidar Dogs, who collected valuable victories in the junior classes and confirmed their enormous potential for the future.
One of the absolutely exceptional moments of the season was the International Dog Show in České Budějovice, where our GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs literally shone. After winning the BEST OF BREED title, he continued with a victory of BEST OF DAY, and this incredible day was crowned with the ultimate triumph when he won the highest title of all – BEST IN SHOW. This moment undoubtedly belongs among those that are never forgotten and will forever remain written in the history of our kennel. Our huge thanks go to judge MVDr. František Šimek, who appreciated Manny’s qualities in the highest possible way.
HOLD ME BACK Domidar Dogs also attracted significant attention, winning numerous BEST OF BREED and CACIB titles throughout the year, as well as excellent placements in the group competitions, including a second place in the final competitions. Consistent and balanced performances were also shown by FRONT RUNNER Domidar Dogs, FOREVER FIRST Domidar Dogs, and our wonderful bitch IRON FIST Domidar Dogs.
Our youngest hopes also brought us great joy. KILL JOY Domidar Dogs already shone as a puppy when she won BEST PUPPY BITCH, followed by BEST PUPPY IN SHOW at the club show. Moments like these are the most beautiful reward for a breeder and a promise for the future.
However, 2019 was not only about the success of young and adult dogs but also about wonderful moments with our beloved veteran MAYA Stawka Wieksza niż Życie, who proved that quality and charisma know no age. Her victories of BEST OF VETERAN and even BEST VETERAN IN SHOW were among the moments that brought tears to our eyes.
A very important moment of the year was also the birth of the “L” litter, from the combination of Ch. IRON FIST Domidar Dogs and UK Ch., IRL Ch. Molru ALRIGHT DAVE. LIKE A MONSTER Domidar Dogs, LEVEL UP Domidar Dogs, and LEADING STAR Domidar Dogs represent great hopes for the future, and we believe that their life journey will be just as successful and happy.
The absolute highlight of the entire year, however, were the results of the prestigious TOP STAFF 2019 competition. Having five representatives of Domidar Dogs within the top eleven is already a huge success in itself. The fact that the first three positions belonged to our own bred dogs – GLIMMER MAN Domidar Dogs in 1st place, HOLD ME BACK Domidar Dogs in 2nd place, and KEEP UP WITH Domidar Dogs in 3rd place – is something truly exceptional and incredibly emotional for us. KALASHNIKOV Domidar Dogs and FRONT RUNNER Domidar Dogs also achieved excellent placements, while among the females IRON FIST Domidar Dogs and our veteran MAYA shone.
These results were fully reflected in the overall ranking of kennels, where Domidar Dogs became the MOST SUCCESSFUL SHOW KENNEL OF 2019, with an incredible lead and a total of 870.5 points. This achievement is a great honor for us, a commitment, and confirmation that the path we have chosen has meaning.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank all the owners of our bred dogs for their love, care, excellent presentation, and representation at shows. Without you, these successes would never have been possible. Each and every one of you is part of the Domidar Dogs story.
Our great thanks also go to all the judges who were able to appreciate the quality of our dogs, and to all the show organizers for their demanding work and the wonderful events they create – events we always enjoy returning to.
Huge thanks belong to our family and friends, especially Janka Zálišová, Darinka Zálišová, Dominik Záliš, Katka Horáčková, Gabriela Plešková, Miloslav Volenc, Iveta Řípová, Martin Záliš, and many others for their support, help, and shared joy. We would also like to thank the photographers, especially Hana Maredová, Gabriela Plešková, and Michaela Langová, who managed to capture the most beautiful moments.
We thank everyone we met around the rings throughout the year, with whom we shared joy, tension, and friendship – and above all we thank our dogs. They are the reason why we do all of this.
The year 2019 deserves one big THANK YOU. It was the year of Domidar Dogs. And we will never forget it.
